Tamilnad Mercantile Bank (TMB) started in 1921 is one of the oldest private banks in India. The bank having over 230 branches across India has announced recruitment of clerks.
Clerk
Qualification : A Graduate with 50% marks or a Post Graduate, from a recognized University in regular course with knowledge in Computer Operations.
Age Limit:
- Maximum: For Graduates: 24 years and for Post Graduates 26 years as on May 31, 2011.
- Relaxation for MBC / BC will be 2 years. Relaxation for SC / ST / Physically Handicapped will be 5 years.
Application Fees: Candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs. 200.00 (Rs. 100.00 for SC / ST Candidates) by way of crossed demand draft drawn in favour of Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd. Payable at Thoothukudi / Tuticorin or Tirunelveli.
Selection Process
The candidates should appear for written examination to be held at Chennai, Madurai, Salem, Tirunelveli, and Thoothukudi centres. The Date, Time and Venue of Written Test will be communicated to the eligible candidates individually by post. The written examination will be of objective type. After evaluation, on the basis of the written test, candidates will be short listed for a personal interview in the order of merit.Selected candidates will be placed at any Branch/Office for On-the-Job Training for six months and thereafter on probation for a further period for six months. During On-the-Job Training period the candidates will be paid a stipend of Rs. 8000/- p.m. On successful completion of On-the-Job training and on complying with the terms stipulated at the time of appointment, they will be placed in the Scale of Pay as applicable to clerical cadre of the Bank.
The selected candidates will be posted anywhere in INDIA.
